Music

The music section aims to bring together amateur musicians and music lovers in different formats. Concerts for staff and the general public are organised throughout the year, for all to benefit.

Within the music section, the different groups and activities include:

The 12 Stars Band

The 12 Stars Band is a moveable line up of amateur musicians who play folk, pop and rock numbers. The band performs regularly, for example for the fête de la musique, anniversary celebrations, and more.

The choir has resumed

The choir has resumed

The Amicale Choir resumed rehearsals on the 12 September. Rehearsals take place every Thursday lunchtime from 12:30 – 13:45 in the Projection Room of the Palais. Newcomers are welcome to come along. No prior musical knowledge is necessary.

The Amicale and its Music section are delighted to announce the launch of guitar lessons.

From September 2024, group guitar lessons will be available.

The teacher, Gregory Schneider, is a professional musician and has been teaching guitar for many years in music schools.

He offers a unique group teaching method that allows you to learn and progress together.

 

Lessons are for players at beginner level.

They will take place in small group (6 people maximum) and will last 45 minutes.

Concert by Musicians for Human Rights

For Austria's National Day, the Permanent Representative of Austria to the Council of Europe invites you to a concert by "Musicians for Human Rights". Through performing classical music, they have a mission to foster a culture of humanism through music worldwide, in support of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The concert is free of charge and open for all. 

When: Thursday 26. October at 8PM

Where: Appolonia, 23 Rue Boecklin
