ASCE - Sport Table tennis

Where we play

We currently have the possibilityto play in two locations: one indoor (room 2 of the ASCE) and one outdoor (Orangerie park).

It goes without saying that the indoor location is suitable all year round. The outdoor location is suitable for the warmer part of the year and also depending on the weather. As good temperatures but lots of wind or some rain are definitely useless for our sport, we reserve the planning of "outings" to last minute.

Room 2 of the ASCE

Amicale du conseil de l'europe

A small room able to fit 2 tables (barely). This is our primary location.

Especially good for the winter months, this rooms allows us to play all year round.

When practicing here we have our own tables(2), which are of a very of good quality and both with new nets. Rackets and balls available to the members, but you can also bring your own.

Although the room is small, it supports 6 players, i.e. 1 doubles table and one single. Having said that, it would be possible for 8 players to play but the limitations of the room size would definitely be felt

Orangerie Park

Amicale du conseil de l'europe

In the Orangerie park there are 2 locations with tables. The locations currently have 2 tables each, allowing for a maximum of 8 players. One has to be cautious since there is no way of reserving the tables and hence no guarantee that they will be available for play. Usually these locations are relativly calm during the lunch breaks.

One of the locations is on the East side of the park. Close to the canal and east side entrance, this is a nice and shady location, great when it's hot outside. We will call this location the "Canal Tables".

The other location is splendid when the temperatures are still fresh/mild. There are no trees hiding the sun so the advantage of generating Vitamin D is also there. You will find this location and the two tables very close to the Zoo, i.e. the South-West part of the park. We will call this location the "Zoo Tables".
