Relay for Life – Ligue contre le Cancer – Relais pour la Vie
Each year the Council of Europe assembles a team of volunteers to walk or run a 24 hour Relay in a host town in the Bas-Rhin chosen by the Ligue contre le Cancer. A team rota enables participants to choose their hourly slot(s) during the day or night.

On World Cancer Day, the Relay for Life Amicale Section is reaching out to find Council of Europe team members for this year’s 24-hour relay in Brumath on 28-29 June.
One member of the team needs to be on the track during the whole 24 hours be they running or walking.
The Relay plus the side events will raise awareness around cancer and funds for a palliative care project to be set up in Brumath with La Ligue contre le Cancer.

This year the Council of Europe’s Relay for Life team participated in the 24-hour Relay organized by the Ligue contre le Cancer on 17-18th June in Oberhausbergen, Bas-Rhin as an act of solidarity for those living with cancer.
The €715 raised this year will go toward improving the patient conditions and the support infrastructure notably for la Maison de Santé Bethel in Oberhausbergen.
