The Council of Europe Amicale and the « Maison de l’Europe Strasbourg Alsace » have the pleasure and honour to invite you to meet Enrico Letta, the President of the Jacques Delors Institute and Dean of the Paris School of International Affairs at Sciences Po, who, will present his latest book : «Faire l'Europe dans un monde de brutes».
The meeting will take place on Friday 24 November at 5.15 pm, Room 1 at Palais de l’Europe.
“The European construction urgently needs to be consolidated by a French-German revival” affirms Letta. During his stay in Strasbourg, the former Italian Prime Minister will share his thoughts on the future of Europe and the need for “de-Brusselization” of the EU.
Enrico Letta became Minister of European Affairs of Italy in 1998, at age 32, before acting as Minister of Industry under the governments of Massimo D'Alema and Giuliano Amato. Following the February 2013 general elections, he became Prime Minister, a post which he occupied until February 2014.
His whole political career and thought have been shaped by a strong commitment to Europe. Enrico Letta is the author of many books on international and economic affairs, with particular reference to EU enlargement.
