The pink ribbon race will take place in Strasbourg on Friday 7 October 2016

Since 2001, the national campaign to prevent breast, ovarian and cervical cancer continues in October each year with awareness-raising and education. The pink ribbon became the symbol of the battle against breast cancer.

Today in France 1 woman out of 8 has a risk of developing a breast cancer. Therefore the prevention and awareness campaign is important.

La Strasbourgeoise is a sport event organised by the Association des Courses de Strasbourg Europe (ACSE) eand the Sports' Office of Strasbourg in partnership with the Lilly Institute. Profits will go to the departmental committee of the Cancer League.

To support this important cause, the Council of Europe Sports Association has decided for the first time to put together a team in order to participate together to the Strasbourgeoise 2016. The idea is simple: launch the  pink wave by running, walking, informing, enhancing women's awareness and their family/community on the importance of dialogue and organised screening programmes… 

If you are interested in joining the Council of Europe team, you will simply have to provide:

• the entry form fully completed and signed
• your medical certificate issued less than one year
• a cheque of € 10 per participant, made out to the Association des Courses de Strasbourg-Europe (only cheque, no cash accepted)
