Michel Hirsch has worked for more than 30 years as an engineer before he took the opportunity to live his passion… His training at the “Ecole de l’Image des Gobelins” in Paris gave him the chance to entirely dedicate himself to the photography.
The nature, as big as miniscule, naturally came up to him as his main subject. He finds in photography the perfect and heady way to immortalize, to reveal and to share these ephemerals moments enhanced by the lights or those lucky meetings. The challenge is here... Be in the right place at the right time to capture these little magical moments.
While he was living his first life of civil engineer, Michel Hirsch took part in the creation of this universe, today he is pursuing his work exhibiting it. The exhibitions are for him a special opportunity to go through those moments again and share the emotion felt the day of the shooting. The exhibitions he’s holding give us the chance to share with him his very personal vision of the beauty’s nature. His pictures are representing walks into the heart of forests, marshes and countryside’s. Far away from this nature, some pictures represent industrials landscapes combining ugliness and beauty that can remind us about the delicateness of natural’s environments.
Michel Hirsch has made the choice to display his work in big format to let us be absorbed by the matter.
