This year again, at the invitation of "Karaïb'Vibe" band, the members of the West Indian dance section, actively participated in the charity event organisd by the association "Les amis du Batè" (http://www.lesamisdubate.org/topic1/index.html).

The objective of the event, where Karaïb'Vibe's dancers,  pupils, singers and drum players made West Indian rythms resound, was to finance a maternity hospital in the town of Kankan, Guinea, Africa.

The West Indian dance section participated, jointly with Karaïb'Vibe, an association in Strasbourg, to Strasbourg Carnival.

In spite of the rainy weather, the "Caribbean sea maids" danced in the streets of Strasbourg, alongside Tropic Groov", a drum band in Strasbourg.

On Saturday 29, the Amicale West Indian dance section participated in the Europhonies Parade, in a group which was coordinated by CIRA and the Difékako dance Company, accompanied by the drum players of the Bombatuc batucada Band. The West Indian group members were dressed up as "Caribbean sirens". See pictures.
