"Goshin Jutsu" can be translated as "the path of self protection through technique" (Japonese "goshin" = "protection", "jutsu"= "technique").

Self Defense training based on Goshin Jutsu includes a wide range of techniques (strikes, blocks, locks, projections and chokes) against an armed or unarmed assailant. It does not aim at knocking him out but rather at avoiding, deflecting or blocking the attack and control the assailant by using the minimum effective force.
This practice is therefore extremely useful in self defense, but also in order to acquire fast reflexes, muscular tonus and flexibility – and, of course, a healthy amount of self confidence in oneself in the everyday life.

Self Defense techniques taught in the Council of Europe can be practiced by women and men of every age and fitness level. Some techniques can look very impressive, but they are adapted to the level and needs of each student.

Classes: twice a week, Monday 18.30-20.00 and Thursday 12.30-13.45 in the ASCE Room 1 (Lift I, level - 2, across the inner court).

Price: 140€/year for one weekly session, 200€/year for two sessions. Any kind of subscription also opens the doors of the other dojos of the club, in particular of the Strasbourg-Koenigshoffen section (on Tuesdays and Fridays 20.15 - 21.45).
