The Green Section would like to promote the new social media campaign of the Bern Convention:

"On the occasion of the International Day for Biological Diversity, the Bern Convention on the Conservation of European Wildlife and Natural Habitats launches the social media campaign #NotAlone on the issue of urban heat waves. It is aimed at raising awareness on how biodiversity helps protecting human well-being and mitigating the effects of climate change.

“Walk to Work!” Week- 28 May – 1 June

The Green Section of the Amicale is excited to announce its next activity: “Walk to Work!” Week to take place between  28 May and 1 June. This challenge aims to encourage Council of Europe and Permanent Representation colleagues who live within a short distance of the office to walk to work and back every day for one week, instead of taking the car. DGA supports this initiative and encourages staff to adopt eco-friendly attitudes in its “My 10 steps for the environment” campaign.

The World Day for Laboratory Animals took place on April 24. To demonstrate its disagreement against barbaric, useless and unproductive practices, a German collective of doctors against animal experimentation and vivisection "Ärzte gegen Tierversuche" is calling for a national mobilisation on Saturday 28th April 2018 from 14h00 to 16h00, at the Pont de l'Europe.
