On behalf of the Green section and the Amicale of the Council of Europe we would like to thank all 20 volunteers who represented the Green section on Saturday 18 November for the Grand Cleaning of the banks and bed of the River Ill. Keep the good work going!

In general, around 300 volunteers gathered on Saturday for the clean-up of the river area between Les Halles and Gallia. Some numbers: 70 glass bottles, 5500 cigarette butts, 150 aluminium cans, 60 plastic bottles and 26 bags with other waste ... Read more »

Grand Cleaning of the banks and bed of the River Ill- Saturday, 18 November 2017, 13.30 – 17.30

Calendar the 18/11/2017

The objective is to collect as much waste as possible, from an area of about 1000m around the bottom of the river and on its banks, but also to raise awareness on water pollution, and encourage a positive change in our social responsibility and behaviour. Diving teams will bring waste from the river bed to the surface, where volunteers on the banks will then dispose of the rubbish in bins. Animations will be taking place at the same time: awareness stands, educational and fun workshops, etc.
